DOP Team — Cookie Policy
1. Introduction
This Cookie Policy explains how >>> FILL IN: full legal entity name <<< ("DOP Team", "we", "us" or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on https://dopteam.io, https://app-dopteam.io and related services (the "Platform"), and how you can control them.
It should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. For the meaning of terms not defined here, please see our Privacy Policy.
2. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. We also use similar technologies such as browser local storage and session storage. Together they let the Platform keep you signed in, remember your preferences, keep the service secure and — with your consent — understand how the Platform is used.
3. The cookies we use
The table below lists the main cookies and similar technologies we use. "Essential" items are required for the Platform to work and do not need consent. All other categories are used only after you give consent.
Name | Category | Purpose | Type / duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|---|
sessionId | Strictly necessary | Keeps you securely signed in and manages your session | First-party · expires after about 7 days (or 30 days if "remember me" is selected) | DOP Team |
NEXT_LOCALE | Functional | Remembers your selected interface language | First-party · 12 months | DOP Team |
Theme / appearance preference | Functional | Remembers your light/dark theme choice | First-party · stored in your browser | DOP Team |
_ga | Analytics | Distinguishes users to measure Platform usage (only set after consent) | First-party · up to ~2 years | Google (Google Analytics) |
_ga_… (Google Analytics property cookie) | Analytics | Maintains analytics session state (only set after consent) | First-party · up to ~2 years | Google (Google Analytics) |
When you sign in using Google, GitHub or LinkedIn, those providers may set their own cookies under their own policies. A separate consent-choice cookie will be used to remember the cookie preferences you set in our banner.
A note on access protection: in non-production (test) environments the Platform may sit behind basic access protection that is not used on the public production site.
4. Legal basis for cookies
Strictly necessary cookies: used on the basis of our legitimate interest in providing a secure, working service — no consent required
Functional cookies: used with your consent where required by law
Analytics cookies (Google Analytics): used only with your prior consent
Marketing/advertising cookies: not currently used; if introduced, they will be used only with your prior consent
5. Your choices and managing consent
When you first visit the Platform, a cookie banner lets you accept all cookies, reject all non-essential cookies, or choose which categories to allow. Non-essential cookies (including Google Analytics) are set only after you give consent.
You can change or withdraw your choices at any time through the Platform's cookie settings, and you can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings — though blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the Platform from working.
>>> FILL IN — IMPORTANT IMPLEMENTATION NOTE: a consent banner that blocks non-essential cookies until consent is given must be in place before this Policy is accurate. At present Google Analytics loads on page view; this must be gated behind consent to comply with GDPR/ePrivacy. <<<
6. Analytics
Subject to your consent, we use Google Analytics to understand how the Platform is used so we can improve it. This involves Google processing online identifiers and usage data. You can learn more in Google's privacy resources and opt out via our cookie settings or Google's tools.
7. International data transfers
Some cookie and analytics providers (such as Google) are located in or transfer data to countries outside the European Economic Area, including the United States. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or an applicable adequacy decision. See our Privacy Policy for more on international transfers.
8. Your rights
You have rights over personal data processed through cookies, including access, deletion, restriction and objection. To learn more or to exercise your rights, see our Privacy Policy or contact us at >>> FILL IN: privacy contact e-mail <<<.
9. Children and age
The Platform is intended for, and restricted to, users aged 18 and over (we apply age controls during registration). Non-essential cookies (such as analytics) are set only with consent. Where a user is a child below the applicable age of valid consent in their country, any such consent must be given or authorised by a parent or legal guardian, who is responsible for supervising the child's use.
We do not knowingly set non-essential cookies for, or collect data through cookies from, a child below the applicable consent age without the consent required by law. If you are a parent or guardian and believe this has happened, contact us at >>> FILL IN: contact e-mail <<< and we will take appropriate steps. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not responsible where a user has misrepresented their age or used the Platform without the consent required in their country.
10. Changes, language and contact
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time and will change the "Last Updated" date when we do; material changes will be communicated where required.
This Policy is provided in several languages; the English version is controlling and translations are for convenience only.
For questions about cookies, contact us at >>> FILL IN: contact e-mail <<< or at >>> FILL IN: registered address <<<.
If any provision of this Policy is invalid, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
